Susanne Layla Petersen is a digital artist and writer based in Copenhagen. In this solo exhibition she presents her series, 'The End of the World as we know it', a collection of 7 videos and 20 photographs depicting various visual landscapes that have been manipulated using editing software. The series is played on a continuous loop throughout the house on tv screens and monitors, unifying the space with beautiful yet unsettling images. Each landscape carries its own sublime quality, the series exploring varying locations and climates, each space as barren and uninhabited as the last. It provides an unabashed glimpse into our world as it is, and makes us question whether we are satisfied with what we see, the glitching effect adorned on each landscape a subtle way of suggesting something isn't quite right with what we are being shown.
